Brené Brown defines connection as “the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued.”  My experience at CREW can be defined as being seen, heard, and valued by a community that has helped me grow through accountability, creativity, mentorship, and challenge. 

CREW is a place which connects like-minded individuals to grow personally and professionally, inspire excellence, and celebrate accomplishments. Over the last 20 years I have participated in many network organizations. CREW stands out for me as the best of what Albuquerque has to offer. 

I am overwhelmed with excitement to lead this organization in 2023. I have big shoes to fill, and I plan to lead through collaboration with some of the brightest minds in our city. The momentum we have right now is electric and we have grown by 34 new members in 2022.  We just celebrated our chapter’s 15-year anniversary and CREW national president Alyssa Carducci Dangler was inspired and delighted with our success when she came to visit in October.

CREW New Mexico has so much to look forward to.  We will start the year with fireworks when we host the CREW Winter Leadership Summit on January 26th and 27th at the Clyde Hotel.  I invite all of you to enjoy this amazing event and show the world what New Mexico has to offer. It is time to share our secret New Mexico sauce and I am not just talking about Chile.  We are in full planning mode in which we have exceeded our sponsorship goals, outpaced our member engagement, and have engaged the community to help make the event a success. I encourage all of you to join in on what will be an amazing event. If you have ever wondered about CREW here is an opportunity to attend a conference.

Our scheduled events for 2023 have something for everyone as our CREW members have developed topics that will connect and inspire us. Finally, I challenge all of you to engage in a committee. It is here you will deepen your network in authentic and meaningful ways. 

The entire organization has raised their hands ready to make the event a success. As your incoming president one of my goals is to double our male membership with men who also believe in our mission. I encourage all of you to join one of our nine amazing committees. 

So here’s to 2023! It is time to connect at the next level.
